TÉZON
Tézon is a name rooted in Mexico and inspired by tea.
The first part of the name, “té,” is the Spanish word for tea - the foundation of everything we do. The name also draws from tezontle, the dark volcanic stone found throughout central Mexico and deeply connected to the country’s architecture, landscape, and material culture.
Tézon brings these references together as a representation of the meeting point between Mexican identity and Japanese tea culture - two cultures with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, materials, ritual, and connection to place.
Tézon exists to bring exceptional Japanese tea, objects, and experiences into contemporary Mexican life while honoring the farmers, artisans, and traditions behind them.
