A refined Japanese black tea from Murakami Tea Garden, a fourth-generation family farm in the mountainous Yoshiwara district of Shizuoka, Japan.

Harvested in the cool mountain air of spring, this single-estate, first-flush black tea is made exclusively from the Benifuuki cultivar, known for its distinctive aromatic character. The tea has a remarkably smooth and naturally sweet profile, with delicate notes of cherry and a subtle milky aroma.

Murakami Tea Garden has been producing tea since the late 19th century, with the family’s first processing factory established by the farmer’s great-grandfather. The farm's production of Japanese black tea (wakocha) has already earned recognition in competitions across Japan, including a Gold Medal at the 2023 Nihoncha Awards.

Grown in a single mountain tea field, this is a limited-production tea that reflects both the character of its cultivar and the distinctive terroir of Yoshiwara.
